MRTSA, Medical Rescue Team South Authority, started in 1976. MRTSA provides emergency medical response services to several communities south of Pittsburgh. MRTSA is a diverse emergency medical response agency in that it supports several specialized teams including: hazardous materials response, technical rescue response, and a critical incident response team. MRTSA is also highly involved in community education and offers CPR and advanced cardiac life support classes to community members.
