What We Do
This website is the (UNOFFICIAL) and academic home of the AGH Division of Prehospital Care Services. The academic division is a part of the larger system of healthcare known as the Allegheny Health Network. The Division is dedicated to excellence in the treatment, transport, and stabilization of patients in the prehospital environment. The Division consists of the LifeFlight program, prehospital response units, outreach initiatives, and a a diverse educational curriculum. Physicians with experience in prehospital medicine or board certification in emergency medical services provide oversight for the flight, ground, and educational aspects of the fellowship. The Division is committed to offering the highest quality educational experience through the support of peer-reviewed EMS education, a structured resident physician rotation, and a fellowship in emergency medical services.
Our Mission
To prepare pre-hospital physicians as leaders in the field of Emergency Medical Services. These specialized physicians will excel in the oversight of EMS systems, education of pre-hospital providers, developing and leading research initiatives, and providing exemplary patient care in all out of hospital settings
